The business dialogue between Tianjin and Antwerp, as one of the important business activities between Tianjin and European Nations, was held at Antwerp Belgium. Mrs. Zhang Qiyue, the ambassador of China to Belgium, attended the conference and gave the speech. She introduced the Chinese policy of opening the Tianjin Binhai New Area. Mr. Xing Jun, the representative of Tianjin delegation, gave the keynote speech. The governor of the Antwerp expressed the sincere welcome for this business activity in his speech. Mr. Xing Jun introduced the Tianjin investment environment and trade opportunities. He also purposed five suggestions of strengthening the cooperation between Tianjin and Antwerp. The five suggestions are strengthening the cooperation of government, strengthening the cooperation of port logistic, strengthening the cooperation of bilateral trade investment, strengthening the cooperation of science and enterprise, strengthening the cooperation of cultural and sports. The vice governor of the Antwerp introduced the local investment environment of Antwerp. The Belgian enterprises which invested in Tianjin introduced the investment experiences and vice versa.

Subsequently, during the business cooperation projects negotiation of the enterprises of the two sides, representative of Northern Technology Investment Management Consulting Company sent by NTEM discussed with 8 enterprises of Belgium. Some Belgian companies such as, Profidyn, Rochem, Deloitte and Stibbe expressed the interests about technology transfer, professional technology services, business consulting and other services of Northern Technology Investment Management Consulting Company and NTEM. They said that they would continue to keep in touch and to explore more extensive cooperation fields. The Rochem Company expressed the deep interests about desalination of water treatment technology applications organized by NTEM. They said that they would entrust their representative offices in China for close liaison with NTEM to arrange Desalination International Conference next year.
