NTEM Successfully Organized ¡°China-France Bio-technology and Pharmaceutical TECHNOMART¡± in Binhai New Area ¡¡¡¡On May 24, NTEM organized ¡°China-France Bio-technology and Pharmaceutical TECHNOMART (Tianjin)¡±, which was co-sponsored by OSEO Anvar (French), Tianjin Science and Technology Committee and Innofund (China) in Tianjin Binhai New Area. ¡¡¡¡¡°China-France Bio-technology and Pharmaceutical TECHNOMART (Tianjin)¡± is one of sub-projects of EU ¡°Asia-Invest Alliance--Capacity Building of Chinese Technological Intermediary Business Organizations for International Technological Cooperation¡±. Nearly 20 organizations and enterprise representatives from French biomedical field participated in this face-to-face business meeting. NTEM organized about 30 Tianjin hi-tech enterprises in biomedical field to exchange and negotiate with French enterprises for 80 times. On the aspect of projects and products, both sides negotiated about the types of partnership, that is, Commercial/distribution, Financial (investment/joint-venture in France or China), Manufacturing/outsourcing, Technical (joint R&D programs), or Technology transfer (patent acquisition/cession, licensing). ¡¡¡¡Under the leadership of French Technology Research Ministry and Industry Ministry, ANVAR is a national public organization for supporting technology innovation. Its main function is to promote the development of SMEs and support the commercialization of technological achievements in public research institutions. China is one of key cooperating countries appointed by ANVAR. NTEM has been cooperated with ANVAR for many years. In 2004, NTEM organized Tianjin enterprises to participate in ¡°China-France Hi-tech SMEs Exchange¡±, organized by ANVAR in Beijing. It facilitated the hi-tech enterprises in new technological and industrial park to cooperate with French enterprises on the new product and market development. Recommended by ANVAR, NTEM became one of implementation organizations of EU Asia-Invest Alliance project in 2005. NTEM cooperated with ANVAR to upgrade the operational capability of international technology transfer projects. At the beginning of this year, NTEM visited France and attended ¡°China-France Business Incubation Conference¡±. During the conference, NTEM visited some research institutions and business incubators in French Genopole. ¡¡¡¡Since Binhai New Area has been included in National Development Strategy, ANVAR pay more attention to the development and open of Binhai New Area. This face-to-face business meeting is useful to bring new science and technology resources together to Binhai New Area and facilitates Binhai New Area to absorb and further innovate on the basis of technology import. At the same time, it is also the specific measure of NTEM services independent innovation and serving Binhai New Area, promoting the scientific and technological enterprises to further strengthen cooperation with French enterprises in the biomedical field, and expanding the channel of entering international market.
