| British Policy Research Fellow paid a Visit

| Dr. Mark Boden from Britain, accompanied by Mr. Li Pu, director of Division of Policy, Ministry of Science and Technology, and other relevant officials paid a visit to Northern Technology Exchange Market on Feb. 22, 2002. Dr. Boden is an expert on policy research in engineering, science and technology from the University of Manchester, who is very interested in the operation of the technology transfer organizations in China, as well as the policies implemented by the Chinese government towards them. Mr. Liu Youlin, the president of NTEM, Vice President Mr. Liu Peiqi and another Vice President Ms. Zhang Lizhu made a brief introduction of NTEM and gave detailed explanations for the questions issued by the visitors. Dr. Boden showed great interest in NTEM's service system, based on three major services-Information Service, Marching Service and Intermediary Service, and how they play an active role in technology transfer. The visitors also held a discussion on the trend of development of the technology transfer organizations in China, as well as how permanent technomarts in China operate in line with the international rules and regulations generally accepted, after China's entry into WTO.กกกก
